Hi

I've got a little out of date with the monitors on the market at the moment - I was wondering what would be the best 19" monitor (widescreen or not, doesn't really matter) for web design work?

It'll exclusively be used for this so decent colour is far more important than response time. I'd imagine that this would suggest a PVA or MVA panel rather than a TN?

My first thought was the Dell 1905FP but that's been discontinued. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I thought you have a Xerox? Whats wrong with that?

Hi - thanks for the quick reply

Yep, I have a Xerox and it's perfect. I'm asking on behalf of a friend who wants to upgrade his current CRT to a TFT :)

there aren't really many 19" models left around with MVA, PVA or IPS panels being used. The Viewsonic VP930 and Samsung 970P spring to mind, but it might be worth considering perhaps a 20" model like the Viewsonic VX2025WM. I'm trying to think of models which don't cost the earth, but for £200 you wont find any MVA/PVA based models unless you perhaps look for a second hand 1905FP

Hi

Thanks for your reply. It does look like that's the case unfortunately - it looks like there just isn't a market any more for what he needs

I'll see if he could stretch to £300 for that Viewsonic 20" screen as it's a good price and a good monitor too

Thanks for your help
