Best 2.1 speakers?

I've done thorough research of all the speakers listed in this price range, and the Z323's have common complaints of crackling and feedback. The T3130s seem like your best bet in this price range, I've just ordered them myself.

Now have my T3130s and they are sexy as hell :D highly recommended

The Logitech Z323's are way better than the Z4's in my opinion when it comes to sound quality I had a pair myself and my mate down the road as the Z4's. The Z4's lack the bass drive. As for the Creative Inspire T3130 they have got very good reviews and are on the same par as the Z323's. But what I would say is that years ago I had a set of Creative 5.1 speakers that cost me some £160 and the Z323's being a 2.1 speaker system blew them away by miles. For such a cheap set of 2.1 speakers the Z323's are excellent.

In which case id say look that getting a 2nd hand amp and some bookshelf speakers. Will be cheaper and better than the Aegos. If you dont have much space stick the amp below your monitor or on the floor. Bookshelf speakers arnt massive

If you do this you also have a massive variety of setups and can upgrade if you want to. £50 for amp and £50 for speakers.

On a sidenote I sold my Cambridge A1 and Mission M71 bookshelf speakers for £55. This setup was fantastic, especially for £55

Absolutely the best choice. I did that and the gains in sound quality, range, and upgradability are immeasurable compared to traditional PC speakers!

I've never heard a decent set of logitech or creative PC speakers, they're all cheap and cheerful, which means they do the job but you'll still have the problems of some sounds being too loud, some too quiet, poor range and separation, no mids etc.

I'm running a Cambridge Audio A1 mk3 and a pair of Tannoy Mercury F1 Customs and it's a fantastic setup, even for the money I bought it for new. Second hand can yield some serious bargains as Guest2 said in the quote there. I think you should really consider that option as I'm so glad I did and will never go back to Logitech/Creative tosh! You could even get a listen of a low end separates system in a hi-fi shop and see how it compares for yourself, I'd be shocked if you didn't think it was a huge improvement. Auction sites and gumtree etc are your friend for this sort of kit. You can get bookshelf speakers for next to nothing if you can collect, and amps also go criminally cheap on auction sites, older ones often being the biggest bargains, so don't be afraid to buy an older amp as they're very solid pieces of kit and the design hasn't changed much at all over the years.

Only one downside is that you need a little more space, but not a lot. An amp will sit happily under a desk on under some other kit (with a bit of breathing space!) and bookshelf speakers will go, well, on your bookshelf or similar, or desk etc. You don't need stands straight away, I actually made some myself from spare wood.

I could fight this cause all day long, but it's up to you.
