My brother is looking for a new pc monitor to play his 360 on because the cheapest 22" tvs are about £320 and they are probably crap even at that price, so I thought a monitor would give better gaming performance than a tv in this situation, as the ability to watch tv is not needed.

Since he will be using a 360 @ 1366x768 (I think) then he will need 1:1 pixel mapping correct?

Atm he has a vga and component lead but most lcd monitors only seem to support decent picture quality through dvi, is there a dvi cable for the 360?

Also since the 360 is only 1366x768 will there be any problems with picture quality since monitors are usually around 1680x1050?

If the picture is good through vga then thats fine, it's just that I've heard some dual connection monitors only have a good picture through dvi and not vga.

I've seen a few 22" monitors for £210-230.

Fujitsu Siemens ScaleoView L22-1W
Acer AL2216WS
Sony V7 L22
BenQ FP222W

and of course the Belina one.

I guess the 24" ones are a bit out of the price range after all, the cheapest I can find them is £425.

Iiyama PLE2200WS-VB1 - 22" can be had very cheaply elsewhere. Don't know what the quality is like though.
