Hi again, I need a monitor and advice to go with my i7 rig and 4890 that im going to build tomorrow??

looking for 22" or above for mainly gaming with good colours, nice and clear, prefer hdmi and dvi connections, I was looking at ASUS VH226H or VH222H as it has better contrast???? Budget was around £150 but if theres gonna be a good improvement I will spend more :D

Also can I run COD4 etc in HD and how to do this please like what cables do I need to connect to my 4890 as it doesnt have hdmi on card like PS3, sorry if its a silly question but Iv never really used HD except my PS3 on sony Bravia

PS Dell2209WA is out of stoock as i read thats the muts nuts :(

Look for the Viewsonic VX2260WM it's easily the best one I've seen going for the £150 mark even the 22" market in general.

Not sure if Overclockers still have it, but a competitor might. Wont kill to Google it's really really good, got 2 of them myself for £145

I'm using the Vh222H & it's bloody good tbh.

I run TF2 @1920x1080 which is full 1080p & it has no problems with that on a 4850 (your 4890 is waaay better :( )

4890 has hdcp as far as I rmember which means all you need (probably got one in the box with the 4890) to run hdmi would be a dvi - hdmi adapter. You don't need hdmi for 1080p, you can run it with a dvi cable every bit as well, dvi does not transmit sound though but on a pc that isn't normally a problem.

Summary :-

I run the ASUS VH222h on full hd with a dvi cable & it's great.

Are you prepared to go to the cost of a 120Hz 22" ? would be the best for gaming by far.

EDIT: PC or console gaming? on console no really worth going for something above 60Hz on PC a whole different story.
