I'm looking to upgrade my BenQ E2220HD monitor (21.5", 16:9, 5ms, 2x HDMI, DVI, VGA, 3.5mm line in/out, headphone jack, 4x USB) to something slightly bigger and better.

I was set on getting the BenQ XL2420T, but after spending some time on here reading reviews, opinions etc I'm now not sure that its the best monitor to be getting.

I'm going to be pairing the monitor with a Asus HD 7970 Matrix Platinum, and will be mainly using the monitor for 85% gaming (PC & Xbox 360 so must have at least 1x HDMI port), 10% web browsing and 5% watching movies (blu ray). Should I be looking at 120hz, should I be looking at IPS?

My budget is going to be a max of £350, what are the monitors I should be looking at?

the colour reproduction is nice has a 1x Analogue Input, 1x DVI-D Input, 1x HDMI Input, 3 Year On-Site Warranty.tn panel 60hz
i find it to be much more immersive than the smaller 22" screen i had the only thing i notice is writing isn't as sharp but tbh i don't notice it at all now.

from what i read the colour reproduction suffers quite badly on the 120hz screens, the benefit of course is smoother gaming if u benefit from the response time and smoothness is another matter only answered by personal preference 120hz seems for most of the time to be for people who play quick moving games mainly fps and at a higher level than the average gamer.

Great choice with the BenQ!!

I Brought the BenQ XL2411T Back in April - Glad to see it finally quotes 144hz! Thought it had 120hz but turned out it goes to 144hz :). One of the best monitors i have had, top quality, no input lag and makes games look so much smoother and response time is excellent, also the box quotes 1ms Response time!
