what is the best going just now ? primarily for gaming on ps3 and pc
dunno if it's worth spending a lot on an lcd, they all seem to have problems of some sort
input lag etc

has there been any other monitors released in the past month that would be suitable for use with the ps3 ?

I see the benQ has 1:1 pixel mapping, does it also have aspect ratio mapping (dunno what its called exactly....) so the picture will fill the whole screen if the input was 720p or similair ?
some games on the ps3 are 1920x1080 so 1:1 mapping would almost fill the screen but I'm guessing the picture would be much smaller if it was a 720p game

As far as I know, monitors will 1:1 will have aspect.

The Dell 2408WFP also has 1:1 and aspect stretch, maybe wait a few days and see what the revision A01 is like (the A00 had a few issues). Might want to look at the 2709W too given the price (I don't know what aspect ratio controls it has but I'd be surprised if it didn't have 1:1 and aspect stretch).

fromwhat I've read, the new revision of dell 2408 monitors doesn't help with the input lag much, is that right ?

I think the choice is between the BenQ or Hazro 24inch monitors

has anyone tried both? i've seen posts saying one is better than the other, and vice versa

Haven't used the Hazro but have just got the Benq FP241W...possibly the best bit of kit I have bought for my pc in a while. Its expensive but the picture quality and the number of inputs is so much better than my old samsung 22" TN panel its scary. The only negative I have is that it looks a little dated compared to the newer models but it matches my samsung nicely so i'm more than happy.

As for gaming performance, ive been playing crysis on it for the past four hours and have notice no input lad whatsoever, and as for 1080p console picture quality one word...stunning.

As you can see im quite happy with my purchase :)
