Best 27 inch 1440p monitor for under £300?

Hi,

Looking to get a new monitor for gaming, will be powered by a gtx 1060 6gb until I get a new card.

Any suggestions?

If you prefer dark room/dim uillumiantion VAs give the best looking iamge with their highest contrast.

But except for couple latest Samsungs VAs have slowest dark shade transition response times.
So for normally illuminated room IPS would be better.
Price just rises £10 over £300.

Actually seeing that monitor is out of stock and has built in speakers which I really don't want, I could perhaps push my budget to £350. Does this give me more options?

Word of warning around this one, the monitor has borders around the top and to the sides which makes it look like you are in a windowed mode. I thought this must surely be an issue but it seems not. Also the monitor was glitching i.e. lines running across the screen every 10 minutes or so, so hard to catch a picture of but not right. I have returned the monitor.
