Best 40” tv £500 max

My dads after a new tv as the 32” tv he has my mums struggling to see tv text.

After a 40” preferably with the stand in the centre as I don’t think feet at the end will fit current glass stand.

If it was my own preference 4K would be better. But my parents know nothing about it.... but any options considered. Opinions / suggestions?

I saw some nice TV, s in curry's the other day.... You can get a 49 inch 4k TV for 350 mark in there and all makes, Samsung LG etcetc

Yeah I saw that myself ... it’s a pretty good tv for the price. 43” is the absolutely max . I did show it to my dad. He’s mulling it over lol.
