After an issue with my newly ordered RAD, I am looking for another one.

I have read some reviews and got some idea but would like to know your input on this.

I am interested in running my GT1450 fans at a lower speed this time(around 800RPM) and It needs to be less than 55mm thick.

I am a fan of HWLabs! SR1 was my first choice.

I love them both.

The SR-1, I believe is a little thinner and is better marginally better at 800rpm.

I used to be an SR fanboy, but my guinea pig bought an XTX and I was amazed by the quality!!

Think of it like a HTC one X and an iphone. Thhey are both great phones, but the iPhone feels a lot more solid and well made than the plasticy one X.

TL:DR, you can't go wrong with either rad. If I was buying today, i'd go for the XTX mainly due to so many more ports.

I already have a GTX480, but thought of going for something with low restriction and low FPI(hence the Alphacool XT45). So I think it will be SR-1 for me as well. XSPC RX will not fit for my needs as it is 124x63x520mm (WxDxH). Needs to be less than 55mm width.

Off to read up on SR-1 now.

I would comment on clee's weird decisions on comparisons, but I'm not gonna take the thread off topic ;)

I'd personally go for the sr1, as I think it looks better, although there are less ports

As I will be using it in my TJ07 and the way i have it setup now, I will only use the 2 conventional ports anyway.
When the RAD is laying to a side in the TJ07, top port is for the inlet(from the pump) and bottom port goes to a drain line and a QDC(to GPU).
Little bit different from the build log as I haven't updated it with some stuff.

IMO, slim rads like the EX are the way to go with the TJ07 (presuming 480 and 240?) as this gives more space for cable management which i would personally take over a degree or two. This ofcourse does depend on what hardware you are cooling and will only really apply if you have more rad space than you need

SR1-480, PA120.4 or RX480 would all be great choices. If your gonna add the 240 like a lot do in the tj07 the ex series will buy you a few more vital cm's of real estate for tubing and fittings as it's pretty tight.

For slim rads the Swiftechs are definitely the way to go 90% of the performance of Thermochill or SR1 with a lot less space.
