i am hopefully going to be adopting a pair of 4890's soon and want to get something that is going to do them proud on the Mobo front as I think my IP35 is going cause some serious bottlenecking on the 2nd card.

in the case of 775 whats the best bang for buck motherboard for the job?

my thoughts were something along the X38 line of things?

Any thoughts or advice welcome

Cheers

Ben

A good p45 board will do the job. P45 only does 8x when running cards in crossfire but it's pci-e 2.0 and not pci-e 1.1 like your P35 board. This means that you will only be down around 4% on performance. You may find that your Pentium dual core will bottleneck the cards though.
