Best £80 GPU?

I am doing a very cheap build for a friend and the GPU i intended to use went off sale the MSI 7850 was only £90 a bargain!!!


Now i have missed that i am struggling to find one that will allow at least some good performance.

I can't decided which is better, the 7750 or the R7 250. On the benchmarks it appears the R7 250 is better and cheaper (added bonus). Is the best card for that price?

I think a 7750 (GDDR5) will be faster than a 250 due to the higher number of stream processors (512 vs 384).


Edit 1 : The Nvidia GTX650 is also another option, and will just nose ahead in front of the 7750.

I thought this would be a good option to due to the extra gig memory

Yes, the 7770 would be faster than the 250 (as would be the 650 and 7750). The extra memory on the 250 is pretty much pointless, as the card lacks the processing power to make any real use of it. Also, the 250 you linked is the GDDR3 version, so that would be even slower in comparison.

I am trying to build a computer for around £300 (very hard task to do) haha.

ATM i got 2x4gb RAM:

I am thinking of swapping it to 2 x 2gb maybe something like:

Saving £20 off the build. Would this have much impact on the performance of playing games?

I would think a total of 4gb of ram would be fine. I don't think it will impact games at all for a build like this.

Games arn't going to be running at high settings.
