Hi all, whats the best mobo for running two 7950 GX2's on at the moment.

We are using an Asus A8N32-SLi at the moment and results are worse than a single card on 3dmark06

Finding this in the mobo manual (2-19, right at the bottom)..........

"Due to NVIDIA nForce4 SLIx16 chipset Limitations, this motherboard does not support two dual-GPU graphics cards (total 4 GPUs)"

is this true even after the required Bios update and chipset driver update?

Anyway, what mobo do you recommend?

Regards

Come on, the massed brains of the OCUK forums must be able to come up with the top Mobo to run with twin 7950's...............

Anyone?

Is it the:

Gigabyte K8N SLi nForce4 SLi

or

DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D

or

DFI LanParty NF4 SLI-DR EXPERT

or

Another one that is the best

Money is not an object, as long as the damn thing works.

IIRC you need SLi with two full x16 PCI-e for quads. None of those above?

EDIT: Maybe an Abit AN8 32X?

Yours is on the list? I've seen quad PC's for sale with your motherboard.

It is on the list, but there are shedloads of forum posts there (and elsewhere) indicating that there are a number of cases of lots of problems with that configuration. Unfortunately, at the moment, no-one has a cause (that I can find), beyond the dUal GPU/8x problem.
