Best ADSL2+ router?

Ok so been on virgin for a while. Moving to an ADSL2+ only house. Estimated speed 1.5 - 3.5mbit. So what is the best router for connection speed? I will be ordering one of the adsl faceplates as I know they help. Trying to remember the name of the company that sell them. . . . . Can someone remind me?

My requirement 4x 1gbit Ethernet ports, good wifi n 2.4/5ghz coverage. Wifi AC is an option.

I got a vDSL one off the rain forest site which is Infinity compatible but backward compatible with ADSL & ADSL2. Managed to double my speed up to about 7Mbit now.

Value for money wise the TP-Link modem router (TD-W8980) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-069-TP seems a good buy at the moment with the added free wifi media router http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18546304.

Forget ADSL2+ if the highest speed estimate is 3.5Mb/s.

Put the router in ADSL1 mode.

KIA why would I put the router in ADSL 1 mode? On the DSL checker it says ADSL MAX which is adsl1? 1 - 1.5mbit, ADSL 2+ 1.5 - 3.5mbit. FTTC 31 May 2014.

What about a netgear D6300?

ADSL1 often outperforms ADSL2+ on long lines. You can compare the sync speeds.

Solwise do a decent filtered faceplate, various retailers sell them.

As for the router, I'm using a Billion BiPAC 7800N which gets me the best speed from my Sky broadband. Very good WiFi coverage too compared with the standard Sky router I had.
