*Best adventure game?*

I'm surpised no one metioned any of the ultima games, my favorite was ultima 7 part 2 the serpant isle:) corking game which featured a lesbain scene :D I was so big I stuggled to get it to fit on my 40mb hd had to wipe windows 3.1 to install it and boot from a floppy so i could get enough mem free.

Never played adventure games so can't compare this to any mentioned.

Enjoyed a game called Sanitarium some years back. Fairly mature theme about discovering your memory while in some twisted altered placed.

Whilst I agree with the majority of the posts so far, I have to say that Fahrenheit was probably the most recent ground breaking adventure game that comes to mind.
 
Syberia nuff said :D also love the Lucas arts adventure games too.The longest journey was also a classic...much better than Dreamfall imo
 
Eureka !

Remember living and breathing this game, was so gutted when i opend up Sinclair User to find some spotty kid had completed it and collected the prize money............. i was on 90% of the last episode.
