But this thread is about the best AGP card. This being the 7800 GS.If you were to upgrade to this as this is only the top end card available your cpu would more than likely be the bottleneck.

You would have a mismatched system..

I see you're back Easy. It's beyond me you and Exmthingamabob feel the need to keep coming to a thread about AGP videocards and continue to just try to contradict every single post anyone makes with "your argument holds no water" type comments.
It's called checking a thread and making a reply. Last time I checked, this is a forum, and on a forum you *gasp* check discussion threads and make replies to them.

P.S. Exsomnis is not a difficult word to spell, you're only making yourself look childish by changing it all the time.

We're perfectly well aware of what PCI-e is thank you as has been made amply clear in your 5 pages of rants. Anyone would think either your very insecure about your choice or you are on commission from the PCI-e police! :D
We are simply offering a suggestion to people who are planning to upgrade their AGP-based system that would be cheaper, faster, and give them more choice. I still fail to see how you feel threatened by this, but if you think that you can flame people for giving helpful advice then I would suggest you kindly shut up.

Ahhh there you are, glad to see you and you're own particular brand of "the truth". I particularly like the bit where you say I'm lying and you never said anyone was being ripped off, despite me quoting your post where you did :D
If you have to change someone's words this much then it's obvious you don't have a leg to stand on.

Firstly, when I said you were lying, I specifically mentioned the part where you were repeating that I said "PCI-E offers a better upgrade path." I never said anything of the sort, all I have said is that PCI-E is cheaper, faster, and has more variation.

Secondly, when I said that people are being ripped-off, it was in response to you saying "you claim Overclockers are ripping us off." Again, you were putting words into my mouth. Overclockers have to price their AGP cards based on supply and demand, it's not their fault, yet people continue to upgrade to AGP even when PCI-E is a viable and cost-effective option.

Thus, as I said; They are ripping themselves off, you too have been ripped-off and you're quite obviously miffed about it.

This has been like watching a boxing match. And egt's last comment was the equivilant of sucker punch just as exsomnis was giving up the will to live.

For the record I agree with the side that has easyrider and exsomnis on. Because if i don't side up with these two now, when am I going to get another chance? (and also their position is, with transparency, quite obviously correct)

Ahhh, more of your reasoned argument. Good response, I can now see the error of my ways and acknowledge you as king trolly troll the 1st of troll land, trollsavania...

Oooooh, eloquent and initimidating... It's this kind of quality reply that makes me realise I should do as you command, this after all your forum and thread to be purged of anyone with AGP or non l337 hardware 5killz.

Egt has kindly found you a replacement dummy.. Now think calming thoughts and breath....

I'm sorry, I shouldn't bait you, but you gave up reasoned conversation somewhere back on page one, and frankly you're just so darned funny!!! :)

Anyway....

You're great, you great big scary forum warrior you... :) The quality of your posts and subtlety of your arguments just make me want to rip out my AGP set up and go buy PCI-e now so i can be the same as you ;)

:p

Actually i don't hink anyone ever disagreed with PCI-e as a good option (I've said it a few times), I just disagreed with the attempt by the "PCI-e 2" to aggressively stamp on anyone suggesting the 7800GS+ was a decent upgrade for some people.

I just don't like bullys, even on forums :D

EGT wins post of the thread though!!!! :D :D :D

At least add something to the thread, I have told you many times that I'm bored of you following me around the forums and just making flames not even relevent to the discussion.

So I see you haven't been reading a word I've said, why am I not surprised? You already have a 7800GS+, why would I tell you to switch to PCI-E and a 7900GT? That's simply what I would have said had you not already bought one, and what I tell pretty much everyone else who is currently in that position. My entire point is that if someone where in the market for upgrading, I would suggest switching to PCI-E, not that everyone with AGP (even if they JUST upgraded) must rush out and buy an nForce4 board and new card.

Nope, just you.... Most of the thread is you trying to bully people into agreeing with you. Almost every person that's posted you've been rude to..

I just gave up trying to reason with you pages back as you resorted to insults and aggressive posting and decided it might be much more fun watching you froth at the mouth and have a temper tantrum..

And it was... :D :D

I already have added something to the thread, post #129 if you cared to read it.

Look, some ppl don't want to go PCI-E for whatever reason so quit being such a crybaby.

To use a phrase used by Easyrider and Eximonisosio earlier in the thread, apparently to prove a point...

"Quoted for truth!" :D :D :D

I want to stick one of those 7800GS+ in my rig so badly ! :D

#1. But I am not paying £300+ for the privelige.
#2. I am also not going to pay £300+ for a crappy Pci-e board and a 7900GT.

When or if the price of BOTH options come down to a suitable value for me It would make better sense to MYSELF to go for option #2 ...........although this has to be with the price of a DECENT Board included.
