Might buy my self a new card as one of my comps is running on a 9800se.

Just wondering now as I have given up with computers for ages now so its all new to me again whats the best AGP card to get?

X1950 Pro. £135. Sorry £152. The HIS X1950 I wouldn't touch the now as there's loads of reports of dodgy things happening with them at the moment. Stay away at all costs is my advice to you ;).

Here is a x1900 worth it. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-137-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=403

Or you could wait a few weeks to see what Nvidia bring to the AGP table. I think it's going to be 8600 or something and will hopefully challenge the x1950.

X1950 Pro is the best (if you get one that actually works) close 2nd goes to 7800GS+ & iirc the best version of the GS+ is no longer around to buy new since they only made around 1500 units.

Both great cards and cant go wrong with either one. :)

I have a long list of HIS cards that are dead or dying.

I am unsure that I have had one for longer than about 5 or 6 months before Artefacts started showing up come to think of it.

The ICEQ ones funnily enough are the worst piles of utter junk I have ever had the misfortune to buy, and as for tryign to get a replacement from them, I had to go through the small claims court in the end and even they were ignored for over a year.

So, avoid HIS like the plague

LEADTEK seem to be good ones for me... I still have my trusty Ti4200 from way back and although its a poor performer by todays standards, its still going every bit as good as the day I got it.
