Best air cooler for FX8350

Hi

I have an FX8350 and stock cooler. At full speed it keeps my cpu reasonably cool but is a bit loud. I recently purchased an Arctic A11 cooler which under full load doesn't bring it down below 70 degrees.

My question is, what is the best air cooler for the CPU that I have?

Noctua D14 or Silver arrow sb-e are about the 4 best if you can fit them in your case and on your motherboard

It will fit your motherboard but you need low profile RAM and make sure it will fit in your case.

That case limits the height of the cooler to a maximum of 150mm, so none of the big tower coolers will fit. Your best bet is probably a good top-down cooler like the Noctua NH-C14, which will give you plenty of space above the cooler and room for your RAM.

Read the post above, the OP's case only has 150mm clearance for the cooler

I bought the above for one of my PCs, it's a lot bigger than i expected but it did fit in the case and didn't interfere with the RAM slots, cost less than £40.

Comes with different mounts to fit different boards, it's easy enough to fit to be honest.

Thermalright Macho 120 will fit. It's L120 mm x W102 mm x H150 mm Think your RAM is 30mm so everything will work.

Macho 120 is quite good. It cools well for it's size, is quiet and very reasonably priced.
