Best air cooling for quad core?

what would be the best and most efficient air cooler for quad core? im looking to overclock a qx6850 but after the last load of hassle i had with water i dont want to go that route, and i cant find where to purchase a phase change unit

cool is it a large unit? i see these massive ones on peoples machines and they look as if the mobo will snap :S

Have plenty of clearance thats no problem
