Best alternative to Itunes for ipod?

Just did my annual re-install of windows and want to ditch iTunes as it is a hog. Any good alternatives to iTunes that will allow me to sync mp3s with my iPod?

itunes installs quicktime which i don't want it is a hog.

Never new I could sync with winamp, will have to try.

Now how do I recover my library from my ipod back onto my clean machine?
