Best alternatives to Sonos

Hey all,

I'm not really in a position to be returning to my love of all things audio so these days I'm happy with a few SONOs units and associated App, but before I shell out, I wondered if there really were any viable alternatives which also have a good UI App for iOS / Android / PC and are preferably WiFi, although I'm thinking Bluetooth actually has more benefit, especially if the speakers are battery powered. (Cambridge Audio do some great Bluetooth speakers).

That's the one major thing. I've come from a SONOS 3 environment and always felt the bass was basically a Beats By Dre style approach to EQ. In fact, I hear more instruments in some tracks in the car than I do through the SONOS. I'm not sure I found Bose much better to be honest.

Don't need Home Theatre setup, just a good speaker in a few select rooms (kitchen, lounge, bedroom) and I'm away
 
So get two Play Ones and put them in the same room. How does it work out channels (I'm incredibly susceptible to impaired stereo). Like the idea as long as it's clever enough to do true stereo.
 
So I opted for two SONOS PLAY 1 speakers in stereo and I'm not disappointed. Very good stage and easily identifiable left and right signals. All I can say is, I'm glad I live in a detached house ;)
