So, I dropped OcUK a webnote, and apparently my IFX-14 with the AM2 mounting bracket won't fit onto AM3 motherboards, which was to be expected really, and it means I need a new cooler. And there's so many options, I'm really not sure what to pick. I'm hoping to get my 1055 up to 4Ghz, so it has to be a good one, I'm considering getting another IFX-14 this time with the AM3 bracket, on the grounds that it worked great for my E6600, but there's so many other options at that price point, I really want the best, not just something I know.
So... any recommendations? I'd be willing to spend up to £35, but that's a limit, not a target
I do hear lots of good things about the Arctic freezer 7, but given that its £19, it does kinda feel like the more expensive ones will have more cooling power, but this is where you lot come in
