Best AM5 air cooler around £50?

Cheeky git's have hiked the price since I got mine last week. The non RGB one was £37.30.

As for ram clearance, I have the Team Group 8Pack 3600mhz C14 kit which has tall heatsinks and I had to raise the front fan a little to clear the memory. The cooler itself clears the memory as it has cut out's for the sticks. I posted some images in this thread, post #29.

Cheers, not interested in RGB but can't seem to find the black one under £40?
Just don't plug in RGB and you have a non-RGB cooler. ;)

Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 is probably best performance value out there right now. Thermalright has always made great products!

I'm not happy with the weird fan noise on these. It has a strange almost mechanical whirring noise to it. There are no cables touching the fans. It just has a strange pitch.

Edit, seems it was just one fan with the issue.

Sorry, but Hyper 212 black or otherwise isn't even close to Peerless Assassin 120's performance.

Hyper 212 was decent economy cooler years ago, but many coolers out-perform at lower prices in recent history
no need to be sorry..
TBF i did see the 212 was now a £40 cooler.

what the cost of a Peerless Assassin 120 and who stocks them in the UK?

OcUK has Hyper 212 Evo V2 for £34.99.

Quick search of internet for "Thermalright" finds Thermalright Assassin X120 (4x 6mm heatpipe single tower similar to 212) 38% less than your posted price. Before last posting internet pricing of Peerless Assassin 120 models starting at about 1.12 times more you posted. PA120 cools way better than 212.

OcUK rules frown on members posting sources and prices of competition.
