Best AMD cpu

Hi all, a little advice.

I managed to kill my hex core phenom II awhile ago when attempting to put a new cooler on it (top tip, don't loose your temper and press harder, ended up bending one (just one!) pin and killed it). I got a cheap duel core Athlon II and OC'ed it to keep me going and it's been fine, but want to get up to decent power again.

So long story short, what's the best AMD CPU to buy right now? I know bulldozer was a flop, so am I better off waiting for the next offering and keeping what I've got or should I get another phenom II (probably not a 6x) since the next chip will be just as bad as bulldozer? Mainly wanted for gaming and being able to run a number of programs at once.

Nope, it's still on (as far as I can tell, there are a lot of the buggers!) I used a pin to straighten them, I might have another go when I have the time and patience. Thanks for the reply!

Fixed, literally spent two mins just running a knife blade down each row vertically and horizontally and is now working a treat. I knew there was a reason I loved these forums.
Now to attempt to sort out my OC again...
