Best Android tablet out there??

I've had a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 for a while now but I've noticed the odd slow-down and wondered if it was time to go for an upgrade?

What are the best options out there at the moment or is there another option on the horizon soon?

Budget is flexible for the right tablet and I could go either 7" or 10" sizes.

The new Samsung 8.4 Pro could be up your street.

Then there's the Nexus 7, Xperia Z, Note 2014.

Ten inch go for the xperia z or the Note 2014.

Smaller than that the nexus 7 2013 or the lg gpad.

Have a look at the kindles too, hdx is very nice and light but you don't have play store or full customisation.

Thanks for all of the replies, looks like I've got some research to do!

I doubt I'll go for the new Samsung or the Sony simply down to price (not to mention the last time I bought a "premium" Samsung tablet, they stopped supporting the damned thing!)

The LG looks an interesting proposition though! I really didn't want to go smaller than my 7.7 but am unsure about going for the 10"+ models so the 8.4" screen really appeals! (and they have done a bang up job on the Nexus 5 which I have!)

Would like to stick to Android rather than the Kindle too!
