Best Anti virus program

Just simple question whats the best ? I actully dont know whats good or bad and just going to ask here rather than listen to a few friends opions as not sur whats tue and whats not. Soem say kasp or nortan, some say nortan slows down ur pc a lot all sorts so just a quick question whats the best .

For Windows?

Well I used to swear by Avira Anti-vir. But now I use Microsoft Security Essentials on my Windows 7 system. It's pretty good, light and good detection rates.

There are several very good free Anti-virus apps out there that I see no sense in paying one.
