In peoples opinions what is the Best Anti-Virus software? Preferably Free

I use to use Nod32 but found it didn't spot all viruses. Avast does a much better job for me

Bitdefender IMO.

I've used quite a lot of software over the years and this is my favorite. Some people did an extensive review of all the software on the market and overall this came out tops (This was while ago so it might be outdated now)

Its low on system usage, its scans quickly and its never gave me any problems.

If not AntiVir Personal is good & free.

Your having a laugh. I will never put any Norton product on my systems. Slows everything way down.

Avast gets my vote.

If you want a free solution then i would recommend Avast! although i've heard good things about Avira.

If your willing to pay then i've heard NOD32 is a good choice.

I personally use Avast! and have never had any issues

Free = avast.
Paying = nod32 or Kesp one. either are good. McAffe is ok, but not as good as the other two.
