best antivirus?

NOD32 ***. :p

<3 having no god damned messages telling me a million times a day that "xxx has updated itself" (I'm using Norton/Mcafee as an example here), as if it expects me to give it a fricking medal for doing what it should be doing anyway.

NOD32 and Kaspersky get highly rated on these forums :). I personally use ZoneAlarm (paid version) which I like a lot. I've heard bad things about AVG though :)

Never had any trouble myself mate and i've been using it for about a year now, though i guess if you ask enough people you'll always find the ones who would be most willing to shoot it down in flames probably just because it's free.

I've used Norton and various others in the past and tbh never seen any major differences ;)

I just got my new rig up and running and I'm looking for a good antivirus. I've tried Norton, Panda, and Kaspersky. Just wondering what some of you guys use.

Trend Micro Internet Security (PC Cillin)

Updates every day, doesn't hog resources. I like it :)

But if you want to go free then I'd say AVG - mainly due to not having tried many other free ones but I still think AVG is very good.
