Hi all,
Ok, fed up forgetting things all the time (birthdays, bin day, so on) and also want to display all the amazing pictures the kids draw (3yrs and 5yrs!).
Sooooo....
Looking for a solution that will be a digital photo frame most of the time (think like Samsung The Frame but with kids pictures) and at certain times or when pressing a button it'll display the calendar and things like that.
Can anyone recommend a good approach or solution for this?
Options:
1) Was thinking of Framen:
www.thedigitalpictureframe.com
But the author has posted last month that the app it depends on has been discontinued
2) Also looking at Dynaframe, which looks great for pictures (if a little overkill) but struggling to work out how I can flick between this and calendar views
3) Was wondering about connecting to my home assistant instance and then having some sort of 'screensaver' that would be the kids pictures.
Any ideas welcome - it 'feels' like is should be relatively simple, but struggling to pin down the ideal solution!
I think a raspberry Pi connected to a monitor is a simple solution, just need to settle on the software....!
