I've got a few USB sockets I've installed here, as well as oem chargers, I'd like to 'scientifically' test them.

I've got the Ampere app, but even with my One Plus One charger and usb cable, and it only shows 1050mah when charging, should be more?

Do I need an app that can log the charge rate when the screen is off etc?

I use USB power meters to monitor/test charging and capacity. Searching for 'LCD USB Charger Capacity Test Meter' on a popular auction site should bring up examples. I initially bought 3 of them so I could establish consistency between them rather than rely on just one which could be totally inaccurate.

When checking the capacity of my 3220mAh Note 4 batteries they have proved accurate to around 1%.

I wanted to stay away from buying more hardware however small!

I was directed to this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...s.opochargingcurrent&hl=en_GB#details-reviews
Which is more use than the Ampere app I was using before.
Tells me that on my official charger I get 1100mah with screen on dim, and when screen is off charging increases to 1800mah, I guess from a 2100mah cahrger that is not bad!

I'll check other chargers,USB Outlets, cables tomorrow, I think I've been relying on an old samsung cable for a while thinking OEM would be ok. I have a feeling it charges at a quarter of the rate.

I tested the genuine OnePlus One cable charging from my laptop, it did 300mah screen on 400mah screen off. Large difference between a wall charger.

Been using 3C Battery Monitor Widget for ages, pro version.

Found one written specifically for the OnePlus One, not sure if it works on other phones.
Has shown me the cable I thought was OEM was just junk, so that's in the bin now...
