best aspect ratio for gaming

hi, im in a quandry!
just ordered a nice high end PC for gaming and now im looking at monitors, ive had my eye on the acer 24" 120hz 1920x1080 for a while and would probably have ordered one if they had been made available by now.
but now im looking into monitors/aspect-ratios/resolution im kinda thinking it would be best to get a 16:10 1920x1200 screen for gaming, also browsing would be better and i think it might suit eyefinity better if i ever chose to use 3 screens.
so my questions quite simple, not looking for long answers, treat it like a poll

for gaming + web browsing...

16:9 1920x1080

or

16:10 1900x1200

I like the widescreen setup 1920x1080 for both gaming and web browsing. My monitor doesn't support 1900x1200 so i can't really comment on how good that is. I think its just a matter of preference really.

well ive been using a 19" crt 4:3 (16:12) for the last 10 years so 16:10 would seem like wide screen to me

i think id like a 24" screen but i dont wanna lose any physical hight over the 19" 4:3 im used too (10 3/4") if that makes sense

Using this you can see that both a 22" 16:10 and 23.6" 16:9 would give slightly more physical height compared to 19" 4:3.
