Best Backup Software for Home User?

Looking for software to back up files from my laptop primarily (which I use mainly) but if possible (and not to expensive) my tablet and desktop (not used much currently). Acronis True Image Cloud looks the best but is expensive. Also looking at Todobackup Free version.
Any help would be great.

How big are the files?
How subject to change are they?
Does the size expand quickly?
What speed up/down is your internet?

Was thinking back up to an external drive but the cloud solution looks interesting and more flexible. Files aren't very big generally and do change but not quickly. Internet is 100Mbps.

I've used crashplan, that was good and cheap. Now I just dump everything in onedrive (office365 subscription).
