I currently have an ancient Belkin something or other, but the 'earth' light is not on, not sure if that means good or bad, and teh protection light is amber, again dunno if thats good or bad.
A good thing about it is 2 of the sockets can be rotated to accomodate funny shaped plugs...it also has ethernet passthrough, presumably to protect against lighting strikes coming from the phone cable/router, but I've never used that feature and I'm on fibre now, if that makes any difference.

Needs to have 6 or 8 mains sockets, preferably side by side rather than a really long strip, but not critical.

What are other people using?

I have the same strips, I'm pretty sure that means it is working, though how much we can rely on those LEDs, I don't know.
