Hi guys,

Sorry to interrupt the 'Conroe chat', but I have a quick question regarding some old tech.

My father-in-law is in desperate need of a performance boost for his old Duron system. He is looking to spend £50-£70, so that puts him in P4 2.0 GHz or Athlon XP 2000+ territory from the s/h prices I have seen around.

I was just wondering which of these chips would give the best general performance in office tasks, web browsing general usage.

Any comments greatly appreciated.

You can possibly get a S754 A64 3000+ and motherboard for £60ish quid. I'll be selling this combo here in a few days probably if your interested.
