Hi Guys

Im looking for the Best bang for the ££ upgrade help ?

I was going to upgrade last year but the ram prices and the lack of GPU stopped me and ive not had a look since, with the ryzen gen2 coming i thought maybe i should take another look but its been a years since I last looks any parts so I need a little help with my upgrade.

My currant build is below, what could i keep and what would i need to upgrade.

I did originally thinking of getting ryzen but with ryzen 2nd gen out im not sure what to get.

Does anyone have a comparison ?
also its seam AMD had come out with X470 does it matter if i get a X370 or X470 ?

please offer any suggestions

You summed up the reasons I haven't upgraded to a new system yet either.

I have a old syncmaster 305t
I dont have a budget buy I was hoping to get something around £500 but i am looking to use what i can from my old pc.
You could keep your case, SSD, and PSU maybe, you might need to keep the GFX card if you want to move to AM4 as £500 will be quite tight to do CPU/Mobo/Ram and GFX at the same time

GFX is not in the budget that would be extra depending on whats available and pricing.

Maybe something like this? Could up one of either CPU, RAM or GFX depending on your priorities

My basket at overclockers uk:
Total: £412.46 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Edit: just missed your no GFX bit, so ignore this :)

How about something like this, your budgets pretty good so can get a newer AMD chip, motherboard support new Ryzen with a BIOS update, it may ship with the latest BIOS but you might need to contact your retailer of choice to check

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £512.47 (includes shipping: £10.50)

I've had a look at a few options but i'm still not sure yet,

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £456.47 (includes shipping: £10.50)

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £188.69 (includes shipping: £8.70)
