For PC what is the best gamepad for fighting games? I have an xbox 360 controller and the d-pad is less than great. Looking for recommendations.

The Hori Fighting Commander V 5 is pretty good!

The original Mad Catz Fightpad was pretty good usability wise too, but it breaks WAY too often.

Street Fighter 5?

Whatever you're most used to or comfortable with, really.

There are plenty of pro SFV players who use a 360 or PS4 controller. And plenty more who use a fightstick.

Street Fighter IV ATM. Though looking for quality controller for Tekken next year.

Yeah the more i think about it a stick would probably be a better option.

If you fancy a few games of SF4 let me know.

If you buy a stick make sure you go for a quality one with full Sanwa buttons, such as the Mad Catz TE or similar. If you buy a cheap one you'll just be disappointed.

Thanks for the offer - though i'm waaaay to newbie ATM.

Yeah i was looking at the Qanba sticks - look pretty good.

I use a qanba q4raf it uses sanwa joystick and buttons (which are genuine japanese arcade parts) i use it mainly to play mame games on my raspberry pi, its pretty good well worth the money.

Make one :D

I bought a 2nd hand battered Hori VX gutted the buttons and stick and replaced with Sanwa parts, but kept the PCB as it had both PC and 360 compatibility.

Also added a button each side to be used as flipper controls for Pinball games.

That's a bit hardcore. Though one day i want to build my own arcade cabinet from parts but that'll have to wait. I ain't got the budget for that ATM sadly.

Check mine out :D

Many thanks but you know, I just realised I have seen your build log many times and yours is actually one of the inspirations to my own (including the construction methods) :O So I'd like to thank you again.
