Or the slightly newer equivalent, MX vs. ATV. One oldie I've been meaning to get my hands on sometime is Moto Racer 3, mostly for the variety of events e.g. trials :).

Moto GP URT 3 is pretty good - looks great, runs flawlessly on max settings even on average systems and has a nice range of tracks.

Moto gp on the ps2 was quite good, you could squeeze the throttle on out of a bend and get it sideways spinning up the track, or spit you off!

Also, Isle of man TT racing on ps2. Takes a while to learn the course, hard just to do 1 lap of the island without crashing!
Front and rear slides, wheelies over bumps and crests, tank slappers @180mph.
Excellent sense of speed, Nailing the TAS suzuki through the streets, awesome. Makes you really appreciate the real racers.
Nutters.

TT Superbikes or Toursit Trophy on PS2 about the best I have played. World Superbikes is out this month and looks like it could be excellent. Think it will be full grid of racers rather than the 6-8 rider grids you get in a lot of games. The physics model will be from Blackbeans SBK Riding Challenge which has a fun riding model to it and some great racing :) Shame my PS2 has finally gone kaput doh!

I think the best PC Bike game is either Motogp 3 (mainly for the tracks....the handling is not really close to the real thing) or SBK Riding challenge (for the improved graphics and handling, the tyre slides are very well done). If you have a PS2 though, check out Tourist Trophy, which is prob the best bike game out there atm.

Yep to be honest although I love the game, the handling is pretty arcadey so people who are looking for a full-on sim should probably steer clear.

Back in the day I played GP500 and SBK2000. SBK2000 was fun, but GP500 was the most realistic. You could almost feel the front washing out or the back squirming about. I spent hours on that game. In searching for some pictures of it I found this site...

Which suggests it was updated by some fans at some point.

I never warmed to the MotorGP series at all. GP500 was RSI inducing though so I had to stop playing it.
