Hi Guys, I tend to watch a lot of Blu Rays on my pc (don't own a tv etc at the moment) and have been using Power DVD 9 but am really not a big fan of it.

What's a better alternative?

I tried a few of them back along and I liked Arcsoft TMT the best.

I didn't find any of them to be as hassle free as just buying a separate player though. It's still a right joke regarding playback on a PC.

They're all a disgrace. A proper blu ray player plugged into your monitor via hdmi is a much better option as it will actually (*gasp*) play blu rays without requiring a paid update!

Personally I rip my blu rays to .mkv and store them on a home server, but, expensive.

My vote goes for TMT as well, PDVD is bloated and it arbitrarily decided it wasn't going to let itself run on XP anymore because the OS is outdated. No appeal, no refund and no comeback. One day it works fine, next day, nada, no workee.

TMT still works fine.
