Best Blu-ray player for £250

What's the best Blu-ray player for around £250? I was going to go for the Sony UBPX800M2 but reading up on the lack of DV auto-detect just sounds like a pain in the rear.

I personally went Sony X800 for my cinema room which will be up and running this Sunday... I currently run a Panasonic DMP-UB700 which has been fantastic for the past few years as I do like Panasonic gear... doesn't help but yeah the Sony is good value and built SOOOO much better than the Panasonic, weighs a ton for what it is.

How much of a faff is it to switch between DV and standard HDR10? If it's quick to do, then i'm sure I could get on with it.

I did this last time around, my outgoing PS4 was 95% used as a media player (Netflix & Blu-ray) so was just a waste of money. I just need a decent Blu-ray player to replace it rather than a console as I'm really not a console gamer.

If you're an avid console gamer, you'd probably be using a PS5/XBox-X anyway and it'd not really be worth getting a dedicated Blu-ray player IMO (unless you're looking high end for a cinema room of course

).
