Best board and coolest board

It's all good saying this board is best that is best to overclock
the core 2 duo's, just wish i could get info like
how hot they run without some modding. For me the most important thing
is stability and a board that doesn't require some helicopter rotor sized fan
pointed at the north and south bridge if you clock to 3.4 ghz.
So my question is which board can overclock say a 6300 and remain
relatively cool and very stable in the proccess. No point overclocking if the boards going to overheat we can't all afford watercooling after all.
I''m sure
some boards require additional cooling and some do not it's just hard to find
that info at the moment.Personally i want a board that overclocks a cpu
to around 3.4 ghz with ease and hardly pushes itself and thus remain cooler.

Asrock 4CoreDual-VSTA VIA PT880 Ultra, S775, AGP / PCI-E, DDR
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300, Socket 775, 1.86 GHz, 1066MHz FSB, Allendale Core, 2MB Cache, Retail
thats around £150 that's the only way to go if your agp and on a budget.
If i get that i can upgrade the board etc and keep the asrock as a backup.

Again not wishing to tread on egg shells but, isn't the gigabyte ds3 being pushed to it's absolute limit to achieve a 3.4-3.5 ghz core 2 duo overclock and
the north and southbridges have "questionable cooling ability",at say 495 fsb.
My point being is why get a board you need to push to it's limit
and thus creating more heat when you can get a board that will not be near it's limit at 495 fsb thus achieving less heat or am i being stupid and all boards get that hot at 495 fsb.Bearing in mind my last upgrades are what's in my sig
i know i'm not in a position to judge but what i just said makes sense to me at least.Or is it because overclockers naturally want to go with the cheapest
highest performing combo well that isn't for me give me a cool north and south bridge anyday for a few dollars more than one at it's limit.

Agreed that's why i want a decent board with proper cooling
for the bridges not some sub standard passive heatsinks
which is why i'll never buy the ds3.

I would very respectfully suggest the board you want doesn't exist. They are all built to a price and none of them have truly adequate cooling for extreme overclocking. And 3.4GHz+ on an E6300 is an extreme overclock.

The DS3/DS4 coolers are fine for taking an E6300 to 3GHz, but much over that and they do get quite hot.

The NForce 6 boards are all the same - the cooling isn't quite right for really big overclocks which is why everyone is busy fitting water blocks or HR-05's.

Now, if you get yourself an X6800 then you can easily do 3.4Ghz with the 11x multiplier and none of the generally recommended motherboards on the market are going to break a sweat at 309FSB. Even an E6700 is only doing 340FSB to hit 3.4GHz.

Instead of going expensive motherboard/cheap processor/big overclock, you should look for a big multiplier processor/cheap motherboard/small overclock?
