best breakdown cover?

Autonational rescue. Cheap, quick service and they sent a properly kitted out motorcycle recovery truck.
 
I've not had any issues with AA. I have the cover via my bank account so don't know what the price is like.

Couple of days ago I got named cover for myself and the mrs, RAC with homestart, unlimited call outs and onward travel for £130 for the year.

This cover is naturally more expensive because you can be in ANY car and use them, although they provide basic cover for as little as £25.
 
Included with Carol Nash insurance. Used it once and was awesome (well as can be when you're stuck at the side of the M62 :p)
 
Been with AutoAid for many years, they've been excellent so long as you're OK paying for the recovery in advance and getting refunded. However I've recently switched insurers to Carole Nash as they were the only people I could find who provide European breakdown cover on bikes over 10 years old.
