If you don't mind 2nd hand, 7850 2GB or 270 2GB.
Pretty sure £100 ish would only get a 2nd hand 7950, not a 2nd hand 7970.

A power colour 7970 with no warranty went for £110 with stock cooler, not far off!
Slightly over budget, but faster than the cards listed. Also has full Mantle and TrueAudio support.

The 750ti is not specifically designed for performance at its price point, its designed for low power.
The 250x is just a slightly overclocked and overpriced 7770.
So of those two cards, the 7770 is the best and is £15 under budget. It should clock to the same speed as the 250x no problem.
Otherwise I'd have to say get a HD 270. The 260x is *ok* but it comes stock with pretty much maxed out clocks, the 270 has tons of headroom and can get up to stock 280/7950 speed.
