The missus needs a new mobo as I've just got her a PCI-E X1800XT. We don't need Crossfire/Sli so what would you say is the best budget S939 board at the moment.

Needs to be a good overclocker.
Not cost more than £70 ish.
Not sound like a jet aircraft.

I've been looking at the Abit KN8 Ultra and the Asus A8N-E

well i use a Asus A8N5X nForce4 in my other pc, cracking little board & cheap as chips. i'm well happy with it as it runs my Opty 165 at 2.6 stable 24/7. the bios is pretty basic & the voltage can be a tad off but other than that, no complaints.

Click me for Asus A8N5X/Opty165 screenie

I use a biostar tforce 6100 its a good clocker and it cost me bout £55.

Same board is available from Asus from this site for just under £50 I believe. :)

If you want real cheap take a look at the Asrock boards, they are good upgradable and actually work. :)

I've got the basic abit kn8 and i'm happy with it. Plenty of options and it's stable upto 370htt.
