Hello all,

Just wanted to know whats the best cable for Gaming/ 3D Gaming?
S-Video, VGA, DVI, HDMI or Display Port?

DVI, HDMI and Displayport all offer the same video quality up to 1080p. Dual link DVI is your only option for resolutions above that. DVI is also necessary for Nvidia 3D vision @ 120hz, although I think a few monitors support it through HDMI @ 60hz. Avoid S-Video and VGA if at all possible.
 
Taken from the HIS website for the 7950 I just got, max display:

4096x2160 per display (DisplayPort 1.2)
2560x1600 per display (Dual-link DVI)
2048x1536 per display (VGA)

HDMI I believe is the same as DVI.

I guess it will depend on what card you have powering it and whether its normal or 3d.

DP/mDP also do 120 Hz and high resolution the same as DL DVI.
 
One odd thing I have noticed is that on my monitor using VGA the picture is much more bright and vivid, whereas with DVi and HDMi it looks dull and washed out.
