Hi ya

im want to make my own arcade machine, but currently have no clue what it going to look like, so i thought it would be best to make a model in cad that way i can get an idea of what it would look like in real life, tho i have no experece with cad, but i would like some one to recomend me a progam to use :)

ooo sound intresting, tho are there any comical one that i should look at, im sure i will be able to find a copy to play with at uni

If you're going to use whatever is on your uni computers look out for the likes of Catia, AutoCAD and Pro/ENGINEER. Unfortunately they aren't really the type of program that you pick up and play around with to get the hang of, if you can blag a load of written tutorals from the engineering dept. crack on with them and learn the tools.

If you don't have the time to learn a real CAD package just go with google sketchup which is pretty simple but effective for what you are looking to do :)
