Best Camcorder for under 500pound

Hey all looking for a camcorder for indie films mostly, looking for good video quality mainly and feature set! HD if an option, dont mind using fleabay to purchase seen the Panny SV500 (think thats the name) for around 450 on fleabay, any good?

If by the SV500 you mean the GV500, then yes it's excellent... but it does lose a lot of features of its predesesor (GV400). The main one for me was the lack of AV In.

Make sure you get a PAL version. Also look at the Canon mvx460 and mvx4i.
