Best camera phone

Time for a new phone for the wife - she has a OnePlus 5T just now but the battery is finished and she would like a replacement.

Ultimate speed and power is not so important but she would like a really good camera and it has to be android - whats the go to camera phone these days?

She loves taking nature shots - squirrels, birds, a bush yada yada

Have a try of the S21U, it wasn't my cup of tea but others find it good and it covers all possible focal lengths. Use the cooling off period.

Or maybe the Pixel4 with its telephoto lens, the 5 hasnt got this and we wait for news about the 6 later this year
 
Would a Pixel 5 suit if point and shoot is important? It doesn’t have the speed and power of an S21 Ultra, but neither does it require a laptop bag to carry around. The price is also much more palatable.

Even a Pixel 4a would work if it’s all about the camera. I’m not saying these phones are absolutely best in class, but they punch above their weight.
