ok this isn't for me but for a friend.
she hasn't asked me to do this but i gave her my 2 cents in that a nice small car would be a 1.25 fiesta as it's reliable and economical.

as i don't want to limit it to that as i think she's interested in peugeots for some reason.

so with that in mind, what can she get for, say, £1500?

criteria:
reliable
cheap to run(running costs/tax etc)
cheap insurance
cheap on fuel
looks 'good'(by good i mean she'd be more likely to get a fiesta than an escort as she don't like the look of them. she's 'girly' :( :D)

That sounds familiar!

You cant allow her to buy a 206, use chloroform if she tries that.

Fiesta is the obvious choice, but if she must have something pretty and girly, a Clio is probably a much better option than a 206. I hear 10k buys a good one ;)

Fiesta, altough am I right to think a 306 ain't a bad car execpt from the leccies and leaking passenger well? And lumpy starts and idling. On second thoughts avoid Pugs.
