why not last gen stuff and i heard nvidia are better for battlefeild and shooters
im a proper noob though so barring in mind im not very techy as such

nvidia's no better, some games favour one or the other. Metro Last Light favours nvidia, BF4 will favour AMD.

Last gen = no driver updates, high power usage, lower memory specs etc. e.g. a 7870 can outperform a GTX 580 with less power and more memory.

560TI especially the 2GB one are still good cards and very cheap second hand as they are now unpopular due to more recent versions.

You may pick up a 560TI 448 (cut down 570 rather than native) or a 570/580 for not a lot more.

7850 is a good card though will cost at least double a second hand 560Ti for a little more performance.

7870 is way too expensive compared to the 7950 and both are well out of budget.

Driver updates are applicable to all cards!

A 7850 has a very low power requirement. You could definitely get a 2nd hand 7850 for under £100 now they're £130 new, but with the warranty and free games I'd try to stretch to it.

The 2gb 7850 at £130 requires just one 6 pin power connector. If your PSU doesn't have one you can use an adapter.
