as you can see from my sig, i have a 7200GS which does not have HDMI out and is quite poor. what would be the best budget card to use with my setup for watching films on our 42" 1080p TV ideally at full HD res. dont wanna spend a lot as the computer isnt used very often, but when it is used would like to know the quality we are watching is a lot better than we are now. have been using the PS3 for the last 6 months or so, but with its limited codecs it is getting rather annoying having to convert everything, which again loses quality. had ATI mainly in the past, my last setup had 2xHD5770 in xfire, but wont be needing anything like that this time.

i have ati 3600 in our media center which has been fine for 1080p stuff, for some really high bitrate stuff ive had to run off the hd rather than disk, thats probably not gfx card related though.

going for a passive card is probably best if your after a quiet system
