hi, im looking for the best graphics card that will allow me to output to 3 displays at once.

It must match or beat a 5750 1GB in performance.

my 3 displays are
1440x2560 27" via dual link DVi
1920x1080 (LED TV)
1920x1900

my specs are
450W corsair PSU HX450
i7860 CPU
dfi mITX MB, p55 chipset

THE CARD MUST FIT INSIDE A LIAN LI PCq11

budget £200ish, will go more if needed.

thanks pgi947, that looks perfect

surveyor, I'll be needing to buy an adaptor, as i plan to go

1440x2560 via dual link DVi

TV via HDMi

1920x1200 via mini display port to dvi

unless you can suggest otherwise?

That looks fine.

The adapter I linked above will do the job.

I'm not familiar with the case.

I've found a review which says it will take graphics cards up to 220mm long. Does that sound about right?

I'm not sure about the length of the MSI HD 7850 Twin Frozr III.

OcUK say 197mm but MSI say 197mm on one site and 225mm on another.

Global site: Specification

UK site: Specification

Edit:

I've re-sized an image of the card to full size and it looks like the 225mm is correct.

Display Connectors: 1 Dual Link DVI-I, 1 DVI, 1 HDMI & 1x DisplayPort, no need for any adapters.

There is.

He'll need the dual link DVI for the 2560x1440 monitor.

The HDMI for the TV.

That only leaves the DisplayPort as you can't use both DVIs and HDMI at the same time.

At least it looks like it might fit, 210mm long I believe.

That card would seem to require a full sized DisplayPort adapter though.

That's what I get for presuming it was a FleX edition due to the display connections in the description, but on further looking Sapphire have the 7870 FleX edition but OcUK don't stock them.

The SAPPHIRE FleX family can support three DVI monitors in Eyefinity mode and deliver a true SLS (Single Large Surface) work area without the need for active adapters. The first two monitors are connected to the two DVI ports and the third to an HDMI to DVI cable (supplied) with no extra hardware required.

it seems like whichever card i end up getting, provided someone can guarantee that one fits, I'll need an adaptor for the 3rd screen, the cost isn't going to be an issue.

the main issue is physical size at the moment
